Pakistan: DHA Phase-I, several areas of Cantt ‘powered off’ for most of day

The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase I and a large portion of the Cantonment faced a power outage for most of Wednesday because its power supply was being shifted from the Defence Grid Station to the newly-established RA Bazaar Grid Station.

The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) cut the mentioned areas’ electricity supply at 7am. The company had earlier announced that the suspension would continue till 2pm, but it continued till 5:30pm. The company also failed to answer why the power had not been restored at the announced time.
