Yemen: Diesel crisis threatens iron industry in Yemen

Industrialists called for an urgent meeting with prime minister to discuss effect of price rise and diesel shortage on iron and cement industry in the country, chairman of the Bazaraa Iron Plant in Yemen, Ahmad Bazaraa, said.

The Melting Unit and Withdrawal Unit at the Bazaraa Iron Plant stopped on Saturday and Sunday respectively due to lack of diesel and 260 workers are now unemployment, said Bazaraa in a statement to NewsYemen.
