There was no let up in unannounced loadshedding and long hours of power outages in almost all parts of the country, especially in the Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces on Tuesday.

People filled with anger at non-availability of electricity as well as inefficiency of the government took to the streets in various cities of the country and staged violent demonstrations.

They attacked Wapda offices, power installations and government buildings and pelted the police with stones in protest. Contrary to claims made by the president, prime minister and minister for water and power, the intensity of outages continued to multiply in various parts of the country.
