Description
India has added a record 15,795 megawatt of power generation capacity in the financial year ended March to help bridge shortfall in the world's second fastest growing major economy, Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde told reporters on Tuesday.
Shinde said of this 12,160 MW had already been commissioned, while the remainder would start generating in the next two to six weeks.
