The Karachi share market lost more than half a percent on Tuesday on reports of declining industrial production because of massive energy shortages across the country, dealers said.
There were “concerns of energy shortage in the country affecting industrial sector,” said Ahsan Mehanti, a director at Arif Habib Investments.
The KSE 100-share index lost 72.68 points, or 0.61 percent, to close at 11,796.09. The KSE 30-share index shed 69.63 points, or 0.60 percent, to end at 11,510.31.
