Argentina: Sigue la escasez de gasoil en la Región
The problem of fuel supply in the city, mostly diesel, has become a nightmare that intensifies with the passage of days for motorists. For several months this situation generates strong concern in the area and, according to testimony obtained by this newspaper, has not yet found a solution in the short term.

Lack of fuel in the region is a recurring concern for residents who must travel to several service stations for diesel and naphtha. Throughout the region the situation worsens and unrest is growing. "People are angry but there is not much we can, just bring us fuel" said Daniel, one of the employees of YPF Lomas.
Canada (Alberta): Park Petro fuel shortage no quick fix
A Petro-Canada station in Sherwood Park looked more like a barren wasteland as a result of the gas giant’s refinery in Strathcona County unexpectedly shutting down last week.
The gas retail station on the busy Baseline Road had signs on every pump stating “We are currently out of gasoline” with yellow “out of order” bags covering each of the nozzles and yellow caution tape lining each pump.
Dominican Republic: Blackouts spark protests, vandals topple two electric towers
The protests agaisnt the blackouts continued yesterday in several Cibao (north) cities, while in the municipal district La Mata, Cotuí (northeast), demolished two 69,000-volt power line towers were toppled, which left most of that region’s towns without energy.
Demonstrators in that town also set fire to the office of the energy distributor Edenorte, shattered windows and signs of some businesses and stoned the police station, forcing the Police to send reinforcements from Cotuí to confront the violent protesters and vandals.
Nigeria: Shell says no progress fixing Nigeria oil pipeline
Repairs to a damaged oil pipeline in Nigeria have been struggling to make significant progress, Royal Dutch Shell said on Friday.
Shell's Nembe Creek trunkline, located at Kula in Rivers state in the restive Niger Delta, was sabotaged in late-July.
The Anglo-Dutch oil major declared force majeure on Bonny Light crude exports to free itself from meeting its contractual obligations through to September.
